While the tomatoes are still falling off the vine, I thought I'd share my new favorite {fresh} salsa recipe. I derived this from Pioneer Woman's version, which I love, but she uses canned tomatoes. And why do that when you have fresh ones in abundance?

Ingredients:
3 lbs. fresh diced tomatoes, including juices (about 5 1/2 - 6 c. when diced)
1 medium tomatillo, diced
1/2 c. chopped red onion
1 large green chile (Anaheim), diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jalapeno, seeded and diced (leave seeds in for the daring at heart)
2 handfuls cilantro
2 tsp cane sugar
2 full teaspoons real salt
Place all ingredients in a blender. Pulse until your desired consistency. Chill or dig in right away.
